If you asked me if I love my country, I would be very surprised. Seriously. The point is that asking me that is like asking me whether I love my mother, my father or my grandparents. There is no doubt that I love my country and, what is more, I am very proud of it and its people. One reason why I love the United States of America is that America is always ready to provide people with endless opportunities to successfully realize their full potential no matter where they come from and what kind of background they have. Just look at the brightest examples of marvelous American citizens! Bill Gates, Al Harris, Owens, Martin Luther King, Jr., Marian Anderson and many many other individuals! These famous Americans have successfully proved that diversity is with no doubt one of the many splendid traits of the United States of America.
I can name one more reason why I love the country, where I was born. The United States military is an excellent source of pride for me and my friends. All the courageous women and men who make certain to serve the USA Army Forces solidly protect this beautiful land both – abroad and at home. Each of them is ready to sacrifice their time they could spend with the family. Remember the lyrics from the national anthem of the United States of America “God Bless the USA”? It says the following: “I cannot forget the men who died who gave this right to me”. In other words, the representatives of the USA Military show the best of our land!
To my mind, every individual who now serves (or who has ever served in the USA Army) is a true hero! The point is that I do have the right to say things like that for the reason that the Constitution of the United States of America enables every American to avail of his rights and many other opportunities. Why am I saying that? Just take a look at such countries like Turkmenistan, North Korea or Libya! Constitutional rights are something that people in these countries simply cannot take benefits from – they simply do not have them. At all!
I am more than just proud of all the important things the United States of America have learned from the years that have passed. Once famous man named Benjamin Franklin said: “Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment”. Keeping that in my mind, I must say that I love my precious Motherland because it has learnt a lot from some of the most nightmarish times in our history. The incredible progress we have made by learning is the number one reason why the United States of America are now the place where a person like Barack Obama can do what a great number of people were absolutely sure was impossible, by becoming the President of the land!
I also adore my Motherland because it provides a bunch of innovative technologies, and as the time is passing by, people make sure to invent new advanced technologies. And I am more than sure that a wide variety of new technologies will come soon! This and many other accomplishments make me extremely proud of the country I live in. I also favor some other countries, but my heart belongs to the United States of America!

I Love My Country Essay
I love my country. I am proud to be a Canadian. We live in a beautiful land; we have ample natural resources; we have a long peaceful history; we are a truly multicultural nation; we have made major contributions to the advancement of society; and we are, all in all, a great people.
Canada is the second largest land mass on earth -- and what a beautiful country it is! Surrounded by three oceans, it has an incredible variety of landscape. From the vast, pure, arctic north, to the breathtaking Rocky Mountains, to the prairies, through the rocky Canadian Shield, the fertile farmlands of southern Ontario and Québec, to the picturesque Maritime Provinces, Canada is amazing. Each region has its own beauty. Our cities are filled with exciting things to do; our small towns are welcoming and rich with history; our farmlands are abundant and peaceful. In my southern Ontario home, I can enjoy four beautiful seasons and, within little more than an hour, I can be experiencing the country's largest city, resting along the shores of the Great Lakes, or hiking through wilderness trails. I cannot imagine anywhere else on earth with such beauty and diversity.
Our amazing landscape also provides us with many natural resources, which we have learned to harvest. Hydro power from Niagara Falls, abundant forests and fish stocks, fertile farmland, rich oil fields -- the list is long. We have more than enough to help ourselves and, along the way, we have ample opportunities to help the rest of the world. Our wealth gives us so many advantages and, I think, special responsibility in the "global village."
One of the things about Canada which makes me most proud is our peaceful history. Certainly, we have been involved in wars and, when necessary (such as in World War II), Canadian soldiers made a major difference. But the Canadian mentality is oriented towards peace. Our troops are peace-keepers, not aggressors. Our instincts are to resolve our problems through negotiations, not bloodshed. Both in our relationships with other countries and in our internal problems, we tend to avoid violence. Even in our most difficult divisions --around the treatment of native peoples and in the...
